WordPress 3

Manually updated to WordPress3 after countless times of automatic updating.

WordPress should really fix this problem, or it’s just my server having problems or de’ plugins I’m using.

Oh well, it’s fixed now.

Content aware anyone?

Photoshop CS5′s Content-aware

After some playing, here’s the outcome.

Original Picture

I wanted to get rid of most things, like the boat and all, but it didn’t turn out well.

What I did:

Removed the rope, all the small particles on the beach etc, removed the person standing with his back against us, and then re-edit the weird smudges that appeared after content-aware. (Oh,  I even removed Yunus, the guy carrying the yellow box)

I didn’t take a lot of time in editing this picture, someone else might get better results if they put in time and effort into it.

If you look closely, you can still see some smudges and weird spots on the picture. The most obvious one was the mountains in the background.

Most part of the sands and rope got erased, which was just amazing! … AMAZING!! I’m not a professional media designer, so being able to remove “objects” from pictures really does help and save lots of time, when you do not really want to smudge and clone your way through everything. (Notice the shadows are still there, really really smart)

Final words:

I resized the pictures down to 1000px width, click for more details. It’s really easy to remove dirts and scars, but anything larger than a small spot, you’re in for a gamble, and lots of clicking to get the desired outcome. Watch the Content-Aware Video on Youtube, and you’ll see that the best outcomes comes from pictures that have a scenery, grass patches, sand, desert etc (Something the computer that calculate from)

Anything larger than 1000px, you will see the content-aware areas. I doubt I’ll use it for prints and actual work, but for studio photographers who want to remove that pimple/acne, please do use Content-Aware, it’s just… lovely.

Must have been the drinks…

I ran a quick encode of the project and the outcome looks really good…
